Daniel is passionated about business and technology. He is Software Engineer with more than 10 years as technological consultant working on international projects in companies as Accenture, Indra or Isban. He is leading Influencity, managing the different teams, product, sales, etc., and providing his vision and needed steps to make Influencity a successful company. We ask him what he thinks about South Summit and the entrepeneur ecosystem.

1. What does South Summit mean for you? What do you expect from this event?
South Summit is one of the international meeting points that you must attend if you want to take part of this ecosystem, it doesn't matter if you already have a successful company or if you want to start one, it's the place to be.
I have attended South Summit since its first edition, so I always expect to create new relationships that might help me to move towards my different goals with Influencity, and also, why not, have fun and enjoy my time with my colleagues.

2. Why did you decide to participate in the competition?
South Summit is one of the most important international events, so just that might answer your question. If you want to be the best company in your field, you must take every opportunity, and participate in the startup competition is a big opportunity for getting exposure at the same time that we show to the world what we are able to do and what we will achieve in the future.

3. Why did you decide to start your business and how did you come up with the idea?
Our story might not be as sexy as others. I just basically analyzed the business opportunity taking into account different parameters. I saw that it was a global market, growing exponentially and with no lead player yet. With the time, we have seen all the needs and opportunities that offer this market and how it is being consolidated.

4. Why your company is useful for the user?
We provide performance insights, statistics, audience data and much more information about any influencer in the world. In this way, our customer gets useful information that can be used to identify relevant influencers for any type of campaign, at the same time, can get estimation results before launching a campaign, track any post and its performance and measure in real-time the campaign.

Basically with our software, our customer knows what influencers to choose, how much must pay them and what results will get, and all of this in few clicks.

5. How did you feel when you knew you were finalist?
I was expecting the notification and when I read it, I just felt relaxed, we got it finally. I shared the news with my team and everybody was so excited and glad for being finalist.

6. What do you think it will happen in the future of startups?
I hope that in the future, startups will get better conditions when starting, more benefits for investors, less taxes in the beginning, more facilities in order to promote and generate new business, new job positions and better economy. I think that it's a question of time.

7. What advice would you give to those who want to participate in South Summit?
Don't give up if you tried it and didn't get it. Just try it, try it and try it. With work everything is possible.

8. What does being an entrepreneur mean for you?
I'm not agreed with other entrepreneurs when they say that it's a big sacrifice, so much effort, where you can't see your friends or family, where you don't do a lot of things because you are always working and doing your best 24/7. Of course, all of that is true and you must deal with it, you must hug it, love it and above all enjoy it, otherwise you won't be happy with your life, because being an entrepreneur is an intense life style.

9. What´s your dream in life?
I have many dreams in my life, but there is always the right time for each of them. Right now, my dream in life is to take Influencity until the last level and lead the Influencer Marketing industry.
